A mini vacation is a weekend away, what do you call one day away? A micro-mini! I mentioned to some that the hubby and I were taking the kids to a Beach hotel for the weekend, however on Friday morning the hotel called and informed us there was a blackout in the area and they did not know when electricity would return, so we decided to not to take the chance of staying in a hotel in a remote area with no lights or other stuff, particularly with kids in tow. If it were just hubby and I well........................ that would be fun actually!
We called another hotel and booked for a day-special, where we would spend the day (Saturday) and have lunch and of course use of the fun infinity pool!
This hotel is really lovely, the views are breathtaking 
and the food is scrumptious!! While we are on the topic of food, did you notice my tummy?? hee hee I actually haven't been in front of the camera for a while and my hair is totally i mean TOTALLY not fashionably combed!!! What business do I have taking pics of me and posting them on my blog?! Well it is my blog and I have friends here.

Does that mean Isaiah is growing up? I mean usually on our long drives we have to threaten to stop the vehicle countless times! If he is not harassing his sister, he is complaining about a snack he did not get or something else! So I complimented the heck out of him when we got to the hotel and he took it all in and smiled.
It was really a fun day for all of us, we will still go to the beach hotel in a week or so.

What a fab hotel and pool. It didn't even look busy. I could do with a few micro mini breaks, but mine are normally a trip alone to the supermarket!
So who put something in the kids juice then? Whatever it is please tell me.
I know they love it there so much they did not want to jepeordise it (esp Isaiah!)

Im so flippin jealous you live somewhere that you drive to that location and spend just a day there. That hotel looks like so much fun. Kids love to swim in awesome pools dont they?? Looks like you all had a great time!
What a fun trip! Wish I could hop in the car and go somewhere as fab as this. You really have a good looking family!

What a great and wonderful hotel. You have the cutest kids, I just love the last photo, your son's face just crack's me up. You should blow that one up. And you daughter she is so sweet looking what a beautiful face she has, she must take after her Mommy. Have a great week.

A micro-mini! What a great name. And a great idea! I never thought of spending just a day at a hotel. Well actually I've done it on an actual vacation... slip into a different "nice" hotel and spend the day at the pool area and have lunch but I never thought to ask if we could do it. lol.
