Tagged!!! 6 Quirky Things About Me!

My super cool friend Donna tagged me, I must admit after reading other persons quirkiness I realise there is a lot of wierdos here in blogland, I love you all though, and, I am no different:

1. When I listen to music I sometimes check the beat with my fingers, if the song ends not in a multiple of 5 I consider the song lame!

2. When I piss other drivers off, (not often) I give them the shhhhh sign as I pass them, yes the fingers on lips!

3. I cannot share my kitchen with anyone!! I can share someone else's kitchen fine, but my kitchen? keep out! And I will gladly cook for you :)

4. I wore the same ear ring to work for 3 years straight! I am not big on jewelry, in fact, now I wear no ear rings at all!

5. As a child and even now I feel a deep sense of sadness when our carnival season is over, (most people accept it and move on, I mourn it)

6. (oh boy) I find that people's cars tend to look very much like them, especially my father's car, it looked exactly like him, and even now I always see a resemblance of people in their cars.

Oh yeah coo-coo!!

Penmanship and Time to Get Real

I have seen persons receive pay it forward gifts and the lovely cards that accompany them, I always admire how nicely they are written, and I often think it's a good thing I don't play this game because I would be so embarrassed to send a card to someone with my horrible handwriting. Now for someone involved in Office Administration for most of my working life you would think I would develop at least a decent handwriting but nooooo, it's really bad.

What do you guys call penmanship? here it is the subject in primary (elementary) school that teaches you how to form letters and stuff, any way as a child i remember hating that subject sooo much!! I always saw it as a waste of time, I mean as long as you can understand what I write that's what is important right? So my issue now is this, Isaiah hates penmanship and is giving me the same reasoning!! I kid you not! I feel like such a fraud lecturing to him the importance of penmanship, not to mention that it freaks me out how much of my personality he has.

So one day our blogging friend Donna over at Donna's Story was paying it forward and I told her I would love to play, but but I think I live just too far away, well her reaction was that she doesn't care if i live in Paris! So I await the package that is crossing the seas, when it gets here I will share with you guys of course.

So now it's time to get real, after having kids I always wondered what it would be like to be a SAHM, to be able to spend the formative years with my children, I have been home a little more than a year now and it has been great, but, there is a but, with the recent purchase of our new vehicle I think hubby is under a little strain, so I am ready to go back to work. I also wanted to explore opening my own business but somehow the ideas aren't flowing as they were before and I feel a bit apprehensive about making an investment and risking losing it.

So I hope to be working soon again, for now I will enjoy what ever time home I have left, hopefully it wont be too long, there are some projects I want to complete and start, like my master bath, I would like to install a bath tub, and a really nice vanity, and a new shower stall for that matter, the only thing we added to our shower after moving in 7 years ago is a shower curtain!, also I would really like to buy some out door furniture to finally furnish this area:

So please wish me luck with your thoughts and prayers regarding my job hunting, it's not as easy as I thought. My husband's salary is good enough, but it cant do all the projects that I have in mind. Also extra curricular activities for the kids, the costs can really pile up! Oh and save save save!! I really got to get good at that.

Wordless Wednesday #1 & an award!

My friend Lisa does Wordless Wednesday, I thought I would join in, so here's my no-so-Wordless Wednesday!

This is my seven year old son Isaiah buried in the sand at Maracas Bay.

Also, my sweet blogging friend Donna gave me this award!! While reading other blogs I learned that it meant "This Blog invest and believes in the proximity".

As per the rules I am going to pass it on to three of my many favorite blogs!

I would like to pass this blog on to my sis Sadie ha! yes her name is sadie!! and she is about to become a medical intern in Chicago! We're so proud of her and her achievements!!

I would also like to give this award to Penny because she is such a sweet person, her kind and caring ways shine through in her posts and her comments which apparently she loves to do even more than putting posts on her blog! hint! Time for another post girl!!

Also my other sis Nina she is a SAHM of four boys who have all gone their merry ways, now she is an empty nester and learning to deal with it! (She never did get the girl!!)
